I am writing my position paper on animal testing. Animal testing has been going on since before documentation of scientific experiments became necessary. I always had the position on this topic as a definite no. I believed there was no reason or need to test any type of product on an animal. But after doing a lot of research I have realized that there are ways to test animals that comply with humane regulations and laws. Such activities can be classified more as "studies" rather than "experiments". Many people out there still are persistent on the fact that animal testing is a must in the scientific community. I want to write this paper to show those people that there are ways to alter their animal "studies" that are humane. These types of methods will produce the same if not more accurate results.

  1. Sarah,
Can't wait to read your paper. I certainly agree and believe that human test subjects are the best choice -- after all, humans have a choice in the matter, and many people have offered their bodies for far more dangerous procedures and testing in trial studies.

Luckily, beauty and other products that are designed "ethically" (on multiple levels) are becoming more and more popular.
