I originally considered writing my paper against universal health care. Last quarter I did my persuasive speech on it and thought that I’d have the all the building blocks together to write a quality paper. On second thought I decided against it because I’m responding to Robert Reich’s argument about healthcare so just would have been too much writing on the same subject.
I decided that I didn’t want to write this paper on another hotly contested current event topic and instead go in the direction of my true passion: sports. To say that I’m an avid sports enthusiast is like saying Michael Jackson’s Thriller was just ok. I’m an absolute die-hard chargers and padres fan. I first thought about making the argument for a new stadium for my beloved chargers but the argument been made before and its currently a stalemate between the city and the owner. I thought of a few more, reducing the number of games played during the baseball season, limiting rookie contracts for NFL players, how ESPN is ridiculously biased to New York and Boston sports and others topics.
