Workshopping

I just finished my second workshop and I have to say that I didn't think I would get as much out of reading other people papers as I did. Actually what I think it was more was actually reading it with a critical eye, because I read several of the sample papers but I don't think I got as much out of it. Reading other people work really helps you to see your own work from another point of view, because, as Cecile already said, when you have been working your own paper for a few days or a week you don't see it clearly anymore. Personally I had one of my papers workshopped, and thoughthere aren't that many posted yet, the few I have read already have been of great use. I'm actually really exited to see what everyone will say, such as my wordiness, which does go overboard sometimes.

I was pretty skeptical about this assignment to begin with but it is completely worth it, as it forces you to get that vital insight from other people.
