Ancillary #1 Article Discussion

The article I picked to write about was the on titled, "Can Obama's New Team Make Government Cool Again?" I chose this article because I am watching the Obama Administration because I have no confidence in our government because of the way that things have been done in the past. Most Americans want a change in government for the better and that's what made Barrack Obama so appealing to the majority of Americans. Just like most Americans, I have expectations for the future and I want to make sure that my vote wasn't wasted on someone that sounded great during the campaign, and showed their true colors after they won the election. I was intrigued by the popularity that this President has had so far in his term. Never before has the President's cabinet picks been so anticipated by not only by older people who deeply car about their government, but by a younger generation that hardly or never showed interest in their government before. Some people are ready to give government a clean slate and a chance to right all the wrongs that has occurred in the past. It also amazes me how the change of one person could possible set in motion the whole outlook that no only Americans have about their government, but also the way that the whole world is watching, maybe changing the way that the world views us as a country.

  1. I think that Obama is appealing to many if not all of Americans. He is a good speaker and he wants to bring about positive change that everyone can believe in. Many political candidates make empty promises that they aren't able to up hold once they are in office. It seems as if Obama has been able to keep his word when it comes to the issues that he believes are most important.
